It’s Friday, which means it’s time to get yourself into a group once again and this week is all about connections. Today we would like you to:
Play a game of photo association. One person begins by taking a photograph (the subject of which is up to you) – the next person takes a photo of something which they would associate with the image and sends it on, and so the association continues. A cup of tea, for example, could lead to a biscuit, which leads to a shop and so on.
If you have more time …
Set yourself a time limit – how many photos can you collectively take in 5 minutes, for example. Invent a new rule for the game – perhaps all the images must contain the colour red. Look at the first and last images of your photo play – how has the association changed? Are these images linked at all?
How did it feel to respond to one another? Did you find that you had to move around a lot in order to take the images?
Send us some of your photos – perhaps the first and last image so we can see your journey. If you’re sharing on social media don’t forget to tag us #64millionartists or share to our pages:
If you haven’t already, join our Facebook group to join with other challengers – all together now. Remember, it’s not too late to join in, we are inviting people to take part throughout January.
