Where are you going? Are we there yet? How much longer? Often, walking is purpose-led, to reach a fixed destination. You may be on your way to buy milk, or on your daily journey to work or school or to meet a friend. Today, we want you to:
Go for a walk without a destination in mind – walk purely for the act of putting one foot in front of another. On your walk, look up every two minutes – what do you see? What changes? Take photos if you like. Or just remember the views. What does it feel like just to walk?
If you have more time …
Do the same walk, but this time, look down every 2 minutes. What did you notice? What did you miss? How did it make you feel? Grab a friend and ask them to do the same – how do your experiences differ?
How did it feel to look up? Did your outlook on the day change?
Send us a photo of one thing you noticed from looking up today – or more if you so wish. If you’re sharing on social media don’t forget to tag us #64millionartists or share to our pages:
If you haven’t already, join our Facebook group to connect with other challengers – all together now. Remember, it’s not too late to join in, we are inviting people to take part throughout January.
