Weekly Challenge, 10th July – New Words.

There are 171,476 words in the English Dictionary today – some are used often, some are more obscure but all are unique. In light of this, the children at Pearson Primary School are challenging you to…

Make up a new word.

Make up a new word and write a dictionary definition. It could be anything… a word to describe your current mood, someone you care about, or a memory, thought or idea? Be as silly or serious as you like.

If you have a bit more time…

Once you have mastered a new word, try and use it in a sentence.

How did it feel to make up a new word, did it help you express yourself?

Write your new word or film yourself speaking the word and share it on social media. Don’t forget to use #ChallengeHull & #64MillionArtists and tag us on our social media channels on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and Pearson Primary School on Twitter too.
