This week we have been thinking about the beauty of everyday objects and the unpredictable, creative potential that they have to become something else. In light of this, Pause Project are asking you to think about what you can create from everyday objects close to you.
Look around you, go for a walk, see what you can see and collect objects as you go. Use your magic on these objects and inject them with new life, there are no boundaries! Feel free to use glitter, glue, fabric, anything you can get your hands on.
If you have more time …
Get together with friends and ask them to each bring an object that they have found and a material to use. Maybe you could start up your own craft morning?
Which objects caught your eye? Which materials did you use to decorate your object? What will you do with your new object?
The everyday both intrigues and excites us so take a photograph of your new creation and share it with us. You could post before and after shots so that we can see the transformation of your object. Don’t forget to tag #64Million Artists and #ChallengeHull and share with us:
If you haven’t already, join our Facebook group to connect with other challengers.
This year we are working in collaboration with Hull 2017, UK City of Culture to deliver transformative cultural activity and celebrate everyday creativity in 2017.
