Finding Music!
Creativity is…finding music wherever you are.
This week’s prompt is from 64 Million Artists newest team member, our Chief Operating Officer – Rathi Kumar!
Rathi has a passion for music and song…”I find that songs easily enter my head based on words or phrases spoken by people around me. When thinking about a creative prompt, I decided to see what would happen if I tuned into the space around me without having anyone present. What if I focused on sounds I could hear in my flat, as well as outside – to trigger a beat and a song?”
Do
Wherever you are, tune into the space around you.
What sounds or vibrations can you hear or feel?
Maybe there is a clanking of cutlery, a hum of traffic, rain falling or birds singing.
Is there a rhythm? Is there repetition? A mixture of loud and quiet noises?
Using whatever materials you have around you, make a beat inspired by what you hear or feel. You could create a beat that would compliment the sounds, or try and recreate them.

Does the beat you’ve created remind you of any songs you know?
