Thank you Aditi @move_to_thrive for inviting us to embody our inner animal through movement today. This morning at @st.margarets.house we did just that! Inspired by caterpillars, elephants and crocodiles we moved together and reflected on what it means to take up space. 🐛🐘🐊

Today’s Prompt: Mindful Animal Movement 🐾🧘‍♀️
Choose an animal that inspires you. It could be a lion, a deer, a bird, or even a snake. Think about how this animal moves.
Try to move like your chosen animal. Is it bold and expansive like an eagle soaring in the sky, or is it slow and deliberate like a turtle? How does it express confidence or vulnerability? Explore these movements with your whole body, - try to let go of any preconceived ideas about how you "should" move.
You can make this activity as ‘big’ or ‘small’ as you like. As you move, pay attention to the space around you. How does your animal navigate this space? Does it dominate the room, or does it weave through it with subtlety? Experiment with different levels (high, medium, low) and directions (forward, backward, sideways) as you move like your animal.
💭 How does it feel in your body to be expansive or to hold back? How does your chosen animal's way of occupying space relate to your own experiences of confidence, vulnerability, or presence?
Are there moments when the animal needs to be small and hidden for safety, or times when it needs to be large and visible to assert its presence?

A huge thank you to Sian Northey, for sparking our creativity for the past few days of #TheJanuaryChallenge. We've made words, waves, and today we created in response to sound. 🎶
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 We had a bilingual start to the morning with an online workshop led by Sian in her native Welsh language - Linda P. Picken shared her creative response (pictured)....
"I listened to this morning’s session (via the English translation of the original Welsh). The first piece of music seemed other worldly. I used coloured pencils so as not to create too harsh an effect. The music jangled so my blue bands represent jagged sound waves. When the music changed, it was more gently rhythmic as represented by the green bands. Then I filled in the blank space with yellow, as I was now feeling mellow! Finally I added a Welsh harp!"

Today’s Prompt: Follow the Sound 🎧🌟
Find some instrumental music, any type of music. It could be familiar music, perhaps from well-known films or artists – or you could choose something that you are unfamiliar with.
Play the music, not too loudly, and write down or speak aloud words inspired by the music.
Try not to think too hard – say or write what you instinctively want to say or write.
If you've been writing perhaps you could play the music again and read your work out aloud to see how they sound together.
💭 Is there anything in what you've created that you'd like to explore further? It might be one interesting sentence, one unexpected adjective. Take that small snippet and expand on it – either with more words, or visually, or make the circle complete and hum, whistle or sing something inspired by these few words.
