Creative Ageing: Development & Agency (CADA) is a leading organisation committed to championing the cultural contributions of older people while driving systemic change for underrepresented creatives and communities. By fostering partnerships, delivering impactful research, and showcasing innovative projects, CADA highlights the transformative potential of creativity in later life.

How has your creativity inspired change in yourself or with those around you?

Creativity inspires us to deliver our mission in radical ways. We use creativity itself to show that imagination has no age limit. We produce radical fanzines featuring older artists, public events where older creatives hold banners and march to demand creativity in later life. We help create poems with underserved and underrepresented voices that frame ageing as “A continuum of crescendos, rests and refrains…”

We commission artworks, our Advent of Ageing is a bold Manifesto for Change, written by three older artists with statements like “getting old is an art form” and “creativity is how ageing wins”.

We don’t just speak about change - we embody it.
