“I’m Aditi Kaushiva, a movement facilitator and founder of “Move to Thrive,” a practice that blends mindful movement inspired by my Indian culture, and creative expression to help people reconnect with themselves and others. I believe movement is a tool for self-discovery, emotional release, and community building. I design and lead movement sessions to encourage participants to step into their bodies away from the ‘hustle’ culture, explore their inner landscapes, and find peace, joy and presence in motion.”

Aditi offers workshops at St Margarets House and you can find out more about her work, and the brilliant goings on at St Margarets House here: https://64millionartists.com/st-margarets-house/

“Aditi Kaushiva ydw i, hwylusydd symud a sylfaenydd “Move to Thrive”, ymarfer sydd yn cyfuno symud meddylgar wedi’i ysbrydoli gan fy niwylliant Indiaidd, a mynegiant creadigol i gynorthwyo pobl i ailgysylltu â’u hunain a chydag eraill. Credaf fod symud yn arf ar gyfer darganfod eich hun, rhyddhad emosiynol ac adeiladu cymdeithas. Rwy’n cynllunio ac yn arwain sesiynau symud er mwyn annog cyfranogwyr i gamu i mewn i’w cyrff ac oddi wrth y diwylliant ‘hustle’, i ymchwilio eu tirlun mewnol, a darganfod heddwch a llawenydd a bod yn bresennol yn y symud.

Day 14 with Aditi Kaushiva

Choose an animal that inspires you. It could be a lion, a deer, a bird, or even a snake. Think about how this animal moves.

Try to move like your chosen animal. Is it bold and expansive like an eagle soaring in the sky, or is it slow and deliberate like a turtle? How does it express confidence or vulnerability? Explore these movements with your whole body, – try to let go of any preconceived ideas about how you “should” move.

You can make this activity as ‘big’ or ‘small’ as you like. As you move, pay attention to the space around you. How does your animal navigate this space? Does it dominate the room, or does it weave through it with subtlety? Experiment with different levels (high, medium, low) and directions (forward, backward, sideways) as you move like your animal.

Ymgorffori Anifail: Dechreuwch trwy ddewis anifail sydd yn eich ysbrydoli. Gallai fod yn llew, yn garw, yn aderyn neu hyd yn oed yn neidr. Ystyriwch sut mae’r anifail hwn yn symud, sut mae’n llenwi’r gofod, sut bresenoldeb sydd ganddo.

Dechreuwch symud fel yr anifail o’ch dewis. Sylwch sut mae’n llenwi gofod. Ydi o’n ymledu’n hyderus fel eryr yn codi yn yr awyr, neu yn araf a bwriadol ei symudiad fel crwban? Sut mae o’n dangos ei hunanhyder neu ei wendid? Arbrofwch â’r symudiadau hyn gan ddefnyddio eich holl gorff, gan ollwng unrhyw syniadau sydd genych eisoes ynglŷn â sut y ‘dylech’ symud.

Wrth symud talwch sylw i’r gofod o’ch amgylch. Sut mae eich anifail yn symud yn y lle hwn? Ydi o’n arglwyddiaethu dros yr ystafell neu ydi o’n symud trwyddi heb dynnu sylw at ei hun?
Arbrofwch gyda lefelau gwahanol (uchel, canolig, isel) a chyfeiriadau gwahanol (ymlaen, yn ôl, i’r ochr) wrth ymgorffori eich anifail. Easy Read Link

How does it feel in your body to be expansive or to hold back? How does your chosen animal’s way of occupying space relate to your own experiences of confidence, vulnerability, or presence?

Are there moments when the animal needs to be small and hidden for safety, or times when it needs to be large and visible to assert its presence?

Ystyriwch y syniad o Lenwi Gofod. Wrth symud ystyriwch beth mae “llenwi gofod” yn ei olygu i chi. Sut mae’n teimlo yn eich corff pan fyddwch yn ymledu neu yn dal yn ôl? Sut mae’r modd mae’r anifail y gwnaethoch ei ddewis yn llenwi gofod yn cymharu â’ch profiadau chi o fod yn hyderus, yn fregus neu yn bresennol?
