“I’m passionate about connecting people with the natural world through art. I run an arts collective called Sundial Arts where we create workshops and events promoting art as a tool to connect people with the environment. We host accessible workshops empowering communities to create while reflecting on their relationship with nature, working with organisations like St. Margaret’s House. I chose this creative prompt because I find worms to be inspiring-they bring a sense of freedom and playfulness, while also humbling us out of our egos. Much of my work this year has been worm or soil-related, influenced by the time I’ve spent with my hands in the soil through gardening and conservation.”

When was the last time you noticed a worm? Was it in soil, on the street, in a picture, or in a bird’s mouth?
Today, using whatever materials you have, we are creating a worm! Let’s get a wiggle on…
You could:
– Make, craft, sketch, paint, mould, illustrate…
– or, inspired by yesterday’s prompt – you could become the worm! What materials around you can attach to yourself to create a worm like silhouette?
While standing or sitting, close your eyes and mimic the worm’s movements with your limbs. Allow yourself to do this for one to two minutes, embracing the silliness of the experience.
