Alex Eisenberg
Associate Facilitator
What’s your role at 64 Million Artists and what do you love most about it?
I’m a workshop designer and facilitator for the leadership programmes at 64 Million Artists. I love bringing people together in unexpected ways and seeing what happens when people collaborate and create together. There’s nothing quite like the energy of a group flowing and feeling fluid.
What is your favourite way to get creative?
For me, the best creative sparks come from working with others. I love collaborating and letting ideas bounce and zing so that we can create those ‘aha’ moments that would not emerge alone. I have an art practice where I make films which explore queer histories and archives. Host a queer clubnight in London as a drag mum.
How has creativity made positive changes in your life or in the lives of those around you?
Creativity is woven into who I am — it’s a life force for me! I am at my best when I bring it into everything I do. Over the years making art, theatre, and films has challenged me to think differently, rise to challenges, and transformed me to be more open and aware. I love seeing creativity emerge in others and have worked with people from 10 to 100 years old to foster their innate artisticness in all its gloriousness.
Why is creativity so important to you?
Creativity is at the heart of what it means to be human. It’s not just about making things; it’s a vital force that fuels resilience, deepens connections, and drives progress. To me, creativity is both a tool for personal transformation and a catalyst for collective growth. It invites us to challenge norms, rethink possibilities, and contribute to building a society that values belonging, innovation, and shared understanding.
What’s your superpower?
I thrive in the beautiful, messy complexity of life. I can hold space when things get tough and make space for the unknown. I’m good at supporting people to tap into collective resilience. It’s in these moments that we grow. When we care for and support each other with love, we can get stronger and are reminded that true power is found through belonging in community and connection.
