About us

Who We Are
64 Million Artists believe that creativity is a tool for positive social change that each of us can use and cultivate everyday. Since 2014, we've been working to change how people feel about creativity by bringing people together to unleash their creativity, and use it to forge new connections that mobilise them and their communities to make the changes they want to see.
We do this through our free year round offer of events and resources, alongside paid programmes that work with leaders tackling global topics such as AI, Climate Change and Social Justice or inspire workplaces to courageously support their people.
Equalities Statement
All 64 Million (and counting) people in the UK have different lived experiences and we recognise there are different barriers people face. We are committed to understanding and overcoming barriers to access so that people of every age, gender, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, socio-economic background and/or religion feel welcome.
Equity and inclusion is a driving force and sits at the core of everything we do; both internally as a team, and with everyone we work with. To find out more about how we do this, discover our values in practice below.

Our Values
CARE
As a team, we know good working relationships need nurturing, and caring for the people around us often means difficult conversations, holding boundaries and being bold. We work to create and sustain meaningful connections with one another and focus on making a positive difference in every interaction we have.
CURIOSITY
We stay curious about everything we do - allowing us to take risks, fail and learn. Trying new things, exploring and expressing ourselves runs through all we do: how we work as individuals, as a team and our interactions with everyone we meet.
BELONGING
We actively search for and acknowledge barriers to access. Everyone should feel a sense of belonging and community, and it’s a massive part of what drives our team. Whoever you are, wherever you are, you are welcome.
COURAGE
We know living our values takes courage, courage to stand up for what we think is right but also to admit when we are wrong and listen harder.
We take risks and experiment with new programmes. We stand up to injustice, and we trust each other and support each other to do hard things.
Our Values in Practice
How we practice Care:
- We practice radical rest, working a 4 day week and taking the month of August off.
- We enable everyday creativity through personal development budgets and shared ideas meetings.
- We support employees, collaborators and associates by paying them appropriately for their work.
- We approach all recruitment rounds with care, ensuring access needs are catered to, but also we compensate any interviewees monetarily for their time and preparation. We want to ensure there is equity so that a diverse range of voices feel able to participate.
- To learn more about how we lead with care as a team, discover our Manifesto for Workplace Culture.
How we practice Curiosity:
- We seek out new partnerships.
- We make space for sharing interesting practice as a team through regular ideas meetings.
- We give space for differing voices and opinions, as staying curious to different points of view helps us to learn and grow.
- With our research associates tialt, we continue to explore the definition of creativity and its impact.
How we practice Belonging:
- We are intentional about who we work with and why. We consider the room we are working in and try and ensure wherever possible that our facilitators reflect the room they are facilitating. We want to ensure those we work with feel comfortable in our spaces so that they can be courageous in their journey with us.
- We make sure all of our workshops are as accessible as possible, finding out any access requirements beforehand; so that every person we work with can fully engage with the material, and to foster a supportive environment where people feel they can show up authentically.
How we practice Courage:
- We allow team members to follow their instincts and develop projects in line with their passions - feeling cared for as a team means we feel more courageous to take more risks in our work. For example, we pilot programmes and workshops to actively learn more about what works and why.
- We have regular training and conversations to remain accountable for interrogating systems and finding new ways to work and be together.
- We trust each other and support each other to do things that stretch out of our comfort zones.
