What’s your role at 64 Million Artists and what do you love most about it?
I’m the Head of Programmes at 64 Million Artists. I work with Jo, the CEO, on the central management of the company whilst running various projects. I work predominately on our leadership programmes, our place-based work and our projects with young people. I love the variety of the work we do and all of the amazing people and communities we get to work with. I also love how agile and innovative we can be as a small team.
What is your favourite way to get creative?
There are many ways!
I love experimenting with new recipes, singing and/or dancing along to great music, curating a colourful collection of statement earrings, wild swimming, solving the ‘whodunit’ in a crime drama.
Why is creativity so important to you?
I believe in creativity’s power to enable meaningful social change and its power to inspire personal agency and active citizenship. I think it’s an important tool for building community, encouraging connection and stimulating conversation. I’ve seen its positive influence in my own life, in the work we do and in the world around me.
